Giving Back

At Charity Lynn Weddings, I am proud to partner with CCCG Guatemala, a non-profit organization that holds a special place in my heart. When you hire me, you are also supporting the education and nutrition of impoverished children in Guatemala. A portion of my profits go directly to the organization which then goes directly to feeding and educating children.

In 2021, I took my first trip to Guatemala to see first hand the work that CCCG was doing in their own country. I went with a team, committed to planting fruit trees and building a house for a family who lost everything in a recent flood. Unclear of what to expect, I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love we received from the communities we worked with.

I returned to Guatemala in 2022 to work alongside the team that feeds the children and also learn about the medical clinics. I was honored to teach English to the students who are enrolled in the organization’s hospitality school and will graduate with all the skills needed to work in Guatemala’s hospitality industry. My heart is attached to Guatemala, and aches to see all children fed, educated, and have their medical needs taken care of efficiently.

CCCG has been working in the most remote areas of Guatemala since 1982. They work in 14, predominately Mayan, villages to disrupt the poverty cycle. They started with feeding children and expanded to include education, medical care, and income generating opportunities. They have worked tirelessly to bring hope through meeting basic needs. The children in their program grow up well fed, well educated, and graduate with a clear path forward through the gardening, machinery, and hospitality programs.

Much work has been done, but there is much left to do.
