This perspective is shaped by the way I grew up understanding love. My great grandparents’ marriage began with an imperfect first meeting. My great grandfather stood to greet my great grandmother, immediately tripped, and fell flat on his face. That moment grew into a 75 year marriage rooted in devotion, humor, and commitment, and it continues to influence how I approach weddings as gatherings centered on connection and meaning.
